we provide a special
metadata excel spreadsheet for our partner labels.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:
-) metadata has to be filled out by a label
representative on time (meaning
at least one month before the actual digital
release date).
-) columns with bold typed headings are mandatory.
-) UPC/EAN codes for each release
and ISRC codes for each individual
track are crucial. without these codes, we cannot
carry out proper clearance and accounting. If
your label does not have these codes, please
get in touch with the GS1
organization in your area for barcodes - or
with IFPI
for ISRC codes.
-) make sure you type artist names, track titles,
etc correctly. the data you give us will show
up in all online stores we deliver to
-) when submitting artist names: first type
first name, then surname
-) when submitting Copyright and Phonrec Information:
first type the year - then the Labelname (or
rightsholder name) - e.g.: 2005 G-Stone Recordings
-) Make sure you know what the columns
Phonrec, Copyright and Publisher
mean and submit this data accordingly.
Phonorec is the
rightsholder´s right to release music
on a particular sound storage device. This field
indicates who is the Phonorec Rightsholder of
the release. Phonorec and Copyright often belong
to the label. Example:
(p) & (c) G-Stone Recordings

letters must be small - Don´t
submit artist names, tracktitles etc typed in
capitals or small letters!
wrong examples: ARTIST NAME, TRACK A, artist
